Purple Sony Xperia Z3 Leaks Out on Camera

Sony's Xperia Z3 line of devices might not have been the massive update over the Xperia Z2 that many were looking for, but it was certainly a good-looking device. Cleaning up the angular design of previous Xperia Z devices, the Xperia Z3 (and the Xperia Z3 Compact, of course) had curved edges that gave the device a cleaner and more appealing look, at least to some people. When Sony launched the Xperia Z3, they did so in a few different colors; black, white, copper and a fetching green color. Since then, we've heard that a purple version of the Xperia Z3 would be on its way. We heard that the device would be launching sometime in February and now, the device has leaked out on camera.

Coming out of China, a couple of leaked photos have shown off the Xperia Z3 in purple and well, it looks just like an Xperia X3 in…purple. Other than that, there's no big difference here, but it is important to see Sony releasing a purple color, it's something that people have come to expect from Sony in terms of color and it would make a nice addition to the four colors already available. Whether or not another color would help Sony boost sales of the Xperia Z3 is unclear, but I have to say I doubt it. After all, come Mobile World Congress, we'll have another Xperia Z flagship announced for 2015. Having said that, they'll still be selling the Xperia Z3 for some time to come as the Z4 (or whatever it ends up being called) makes its way to market towards the end of the first half of 2015.

Do you care about which color your smartphone is? Or do you just purchase multiple different cases for it over the time you own it? I went for the Xperia Z2 in white and I'm happy with that, but a color like purple would be hard to live with I feel. Let us know your thoughts down below and on Google+, of course.
