We knew for a while now that Xiaomi will hold their event today, but the content of the event surprised us none the less, to some extent at the very least. We’ve seen a ton of rumors, leaks and official teasers by the company lately. None of the rumors managed to guess the naming of the two smartphone that were released today, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. We’ve already covered both of this devices from basically every possible angle, they both look the same, but their internals are significantly different. That being said, it’s time to compare these handsets with the device that was also mentioned in Xiaomi’s press conference, Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus.
Let’s get started, shall we. As I already mentioned, both Xiaomi handsets are identical as far as the design goes, they are both 6.95mm thick and weighs 161 grams, they look the same. In comparison, the iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm thick and weighs 172 grams. Looking at the measurements, the Mi Note handsets measure 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95mm, while the iPhone 6 Plus measures 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1mm. The Mi Note handsets are thinner, narrower and smaller / shorter than Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus offering, and they have a bigger 5.7-inch display compared to iPhone 6 Plus’ 5.5-inch offering. Regarding the resolution, Mi Note and 6 Plus sports the same fullHD 1080p resolution, while the Mi Note Pro comes with a quadHD arrangement.
Both Xiaomi handsets offer more RAM than the iPhone 6 Plus, the Mi Note comes with 3GB of RAM, while the Note Pro features 4GB of RAM. In comparison, the 6 Plus offers only 1GB of RAM for your multitasking needs. Apple’s offering ships with an 8-megapixel camera which does offer OIS, while both Xiaomi handsets come sporting a 13-megapixel shooter which also brings forth OIS. These are just some of the differences between these devices, but Xiaomi offerings trump the iPhone 6 Plus in almost every spec there is, though not everything is in specs of course. We could compare them all day this way, so we’ll just skip a few steps and list their specifications in a table, which you’ll be able to find below this article. That being said, Xiaomi runs Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI on top of it, while iPhone 6 Plus comes with Apple’s very own iOS 8 operating system, this alone makes them completely different. It is also worth mentioning that both of these devices are significantly cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus, you’ll be able to find all that info in the aforementioned table / image down below.
