If you are a OnePlus and their flagship killer device, OnePlus One fan, they you probably already heard the news a few days ago that for today only, the device will be on sale. That is a normal 'on sale' meaning you won't need an invite to purchase the device. However, like the previous one-day sales OnePlus have had, this is not really a one-day sale and instead is more of a two-hour flash sale. The last time the Chinese startup company attempted a sale like this, their servers were overwhelmed and the site pretty much remained offline for the entirety of the sale. So much so that OnePlus were forced during the sale to extend the 'opening hours' and make an apology after the sale ended.
Well, in an attempt to avoid the same sort of issues this time around, OnePlus seems to have implemented a staggered sale period. This means if you are in Europe then you can pick up the device GMT time between 7 and 9pm. Likewise, if you are in the US then you can pick up the One between 7 and 9pm PST time. Again, if you are in Asia then you can pick up the device between 7 and 9pm HKT. So, in short, wherever you are, between 7 and 9pm today you can buy the One. That is if you can.
For the European sale, the opening start time commenced about an hour ago and within roughly thirty minutes, the site had once again gone offline and showing the message you can see above. Now, it seems OnePlus are fighting hard to get the site back online again as it does randomly become usable although it is alternating between on and off. If you are in Europe, then you should probably keep a very close eye on the site while the sale continues. For all upcoming regions, you might want to make sure you are first through the door when you're sale time begins, as it seems it will be a very long day for OnePlus today. Let us know if you do try to purchase the One and how successful you are.
