Well guys, if you have the Droid Turbo, you might be getting Lollipop soon. Word is that there is a soak test rolling out for the Motorola Droid Turbo right now, but we don't know what the update is. People that are in the Motorola Feedback Network are getting invites to the soak test now, so we should know more in the next few days. But there is a possibility that it could just be some fixes to Advanced Calling 1.0, which Verizon and Motorola rolled out a little while ago to the Droid Turbo. But it could also be Android 5.0 Lollipop. According to the email, it looks like it could be just a VoLTE fixer. But we don't know for sure just yet.
With version 21.44.8 that rolled out back in December, the Droid Turbo got Advanced Calling 1.0 and VoLTE. But users have been having some issues with that since the update came out. So this could possibly be an update to fix that. Although that usually doesn't warrant a soak test. So we'll be keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that it's the Lollipop update for the Droid Turbo. With invites going out today, we should start seeing the OTA's rolling out to those in the MFN by the end of the week, if not by Monday. And with all the other Moto X's and most Moto G's already having gotten Lollipop, it is likely to be a Lollipop update.
So for those of you that have enrolled in the Motorola Feedback Network and have a Motorola Droid Turbo on Verizon, let us know if you get the soak test in the next few days. Also let us know what the update is, in the comments below. Can't wait to try Lollipop on the beast that is the Droid Turbo myself, how about the rest of you?
