CES2015: Hands On With The Samsung Gear VR

One of the most interesting markets to really emerge last year was that of virtual reality (VR). As such we started to see a number of devices hitting the market. If you were after a cheap option then there was always Google Cardboard. However, if you wanted something a little more premium, then Samsung was here to help with their recently released Samsung Gear VR. This new addition to the Samsung family comes with a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a 2560—1440 resolution while the optical lens included offers a 96Ëš Field of View. Not to mention the device contains a whole bunch of sensors to heighten the experience including an accelerator, gyrometer, geo magnetic and proximity.

The Gear VR was awhile coming and did have some teething problems on its way. That said, it did arrive and it also made an appearance at CES. As we were there, we managed to grab a few images of the Gear VR for you to check out. If you are thinking about picking up the Samsung Gear VR then it is available now from Samsung and will set you back $199. It is worth remembering though that you do need a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to use it.
