CES 2015: Hands On With The Yale YRD340 Keyless Entry Smart Lock

We've covered our fair share of news on home automation, so we were pretty excited when we got to check out some of the smart home products from Yale, a company that specializes in home locks, and more specifically today during CES 2015 we were able to get some hands on images of the Yale YRD340 Keyless Entry Deadbolt smart lock. To put it simply, you can unlock your front door through NFC with this lock. As long as everything is configured which doesn't take much to do thanks to the companion app for this device, you can walk right up to your door and tap the back of your smartphone to the lock and inside you go. It also allows you to create digital keys to hand out to family and friends so they too can unlock the door with just a simple tap of their NFC enabled device. Cool right? These aren't available quite yet but you can already pre-order them for about $249.99. Check out the image we got from the event below!
