With January comes a lot of good intentions and quite often broken promises to oneself. This is the month of resolutions and belief that people will change their bad habits once and for all. Quit smoking, cut down on the drinking or maybe even go to the gym. If this last one is you then by now (middle of January) you might be already feeling the result of trying to stick to those good intentions. Well, if that is the case then today's news might be worth a listen.
Runtastic is one of the most popular health and fitness tracking apps on the market. The app allows for direct monitoring of a number of daily activities and movements. The app is already compatible with wear devices and as such offers syncing of your activities from your watch or fitness tracker as well as your smartphone. Not to mention it is also compatible with a number of other apps like Spotify and Google Play Music offering direct in-app activation.
There are two versions of the Runtastic app with the normal downloadable free version, but also the in-app activated Pro version which can set you back as much as $5. Not today though. It seems you can activate the in-app upgrade free. If you want to give the upgraded version a try then download the app from the Play Store, click the top right-hand corner menu. Following this, click on the 'Settings' link and then go all the way down to 'More' and then click on 'Runtastic'. At which point another menu will pop up. Once again scroll down until you see "Enter Promotion Code". Click on this option and then enter "FREE-UBTP-XPTP". If you find the code is not working then make sure you are using all capitals. This is one of those case-sensitive stations. After entering the code, all should be well and you should have activated and unlocked the Runtastic Pro features and should see the screen as shown below. You will need to restart the app to activate the Pro version at which point you should the new Pro features like Voice Coach and Auto Pause available in the menu. So anyone already using Runtastic? What do you think of the app? Anyone made any new year's resolutions? How are they working out for you? Let us know.
