Amazon keeps expanding their popular Prime membership by introducing Prime Photos for their Canadian customers. Amazon Student, Amazon Family and Prime members can upload an unlimited number of full-sized photos in the Amazon Cloud Drive. Amazon's Press Release said:
"Amazon today introduced Prime Photos for customers in Canada, providing free unlimited photo storage in Amazon Cloud Drive. Most people have a lifetime of birthdays, vacations, holidays, and everyday moments stored across numerous devices. And, they continue to create billions of photos every year. Now, Prime, Amazon Student and Amazon Family members in Canada have a simple, secure place to store their photos -- all for free."
The release from Amazon.ca makes it sound as though this is a reward for their Canadian customers in response to a large increase in sales last year. It says that this past holiday season more than 10 million new members worldwide tried Prime for the first time - and holiday shopping is the perfect time to take advantage of the low cost same and next day delivery services that Amazon Prime provides. Last year in Canada alone, the number of orders shipped via Prime almost tripled. Amazon said that since the program started in Canada in 2013, enough items were ordered through Prime, that if each one were packaged separately, they would cover nearly 1,000 hockey rinks.
When you sign up in Canada for Amazon Prime, your membership includes unlimited two-day shipping on millions of items, discounted One-Day shipping for as low as $3.99 per item and Same-Day shipping in Toronto or Vancouver for a flat $6.99 per order...not item. To add to this value, Amazon.ca decided to include Prime Photos with your membership. Alexandre Gagnon, country manager for Amazon.ca said: "With a brand new year ahead of us, it's the perfect time to organize all of your photo memories - from photos of last year's holiday parties, to recent and past family gatherings, birthdays, graduations and more. With free unlimited photo storage, we're giving Prime members in Canada one more reason to use Prime every day. Prime has helped members save time and money, and now with Prime Photos they can save special memories too."
With Prime Photos, you will be able to upload photos from your iOS or Android devices, Fire tablets and MAC and Windows PCs. Your photos will be there waiting for you to access any time or any place and from nearly any device - smartphones, tablets and PCs. Prime Photos also allows you to upload photos in their original size, so you do not have to worry about picture degeneration and you will have the peace of mind knowing that they are protected in the Amazon Cloud.
Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if you are an Amazon Prime member and if you will be taking advantage of Prime Photo...as always, we would love to hear from you.
