We use our Android devices for practically everything. Be it cookery, catching up on the news or chilling out with a good book. There’s all manner of things we can do with our Android smartphones and tablets that help us unwind, as well as stay up-to-date. With devices becoming more and more just part of our everyday lives, it’s no surprise that there are all sorts of apps to fit. Here are our best picks for 2014.
Winner – CookPad
Let’s face it, one of the biggest ways we bring people together and have a good time with family is through cooking. Not only do people get a kick out of eating great food, but fine dining has never had more respect than it does now. Cooking well, eating well and frankly showing off to your friends how good a cook you are is a big deal to a lot of people these days. Cookpad Recipes is the de facto app to do that with. There’s a reason it’s been download more than 10 Million times and if you’re looking for a great recipe, then Cookpad can really help, and if this isn’t a winning ‘lifestyle’ product then I’m not sure what is.
Runner Up – YPlan
If you live near New York City, London or San Francisco, or at least close enough to make it up there a weekend or month or so, then you’ll no doubt be looking for something to do. Even residents can struggle for something fun and fresh to do with friends. If that’s the case, then YPlan is the app you’ve been looking for. An intereactive cheat sheet of what’s going on in these great cities, YPlan can help you live life to the fullest.
