Now that 2014 is coming to a close we can move on to 2015 and what lies ahead for us. We won't have to wait too long either. In the first half of January the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) begins. This is an annual event where anyone who is anyone attends and showcases what they have in store and ready to release. We already know that Sony will be in attendance as they have released a statement on the matter detailing that on January 5th at 5pm they will commence their keynote speech. It is expected that their new Sony Xperia device, the Sony Xperia Z4 (and maybe a surprise or two) will be unveiled.
Well, they will not be the only ones there as today Samsung have also announced (formally) their attendance at CES 2015. What's more, the Samsung press conference will take place on the same day as Sony's. So for clarification, Samsung's press conference will commence January 5th at 2pm. To add to this, Samsung will also deliver their keynote speech at 6.30pm on the same day. This will be given by Samsung Electronics CEO and President, B K Yoon.
So what will we see? Well, this is always the big question. No one will know for sure what companies are planning to release (unless of course it is leaked beforehand) but it is highly expected that Samsung will unveil the latest S range family member, the Samsung Galaxy S6. They always typically release an S range device at this time of year. It is also likely we will see a couple of variants of the S6 including maybe an S6 Mini and an S6 Zoom. If the rumors are true, we might even be getting to see a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge make an appearance. Which as the name suggests is an S range version of the interesting Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Not to mention, Samsung might also take the opportunity to unveil the rumored 'E' range of devices. Again, if the rumors are to be believed, these will be a new budget range of devices. Either way, the 5th is only a month away and so it won't be long until we know everything. What would you like to see Samsung unveil? Let us know.
