Meizu has had a great year thus far, company’s MX4 and MX4 Pro devices have been a huge success, but it seems like Meizu intends to make this year even better soon. The company has already announced that they’ll hold an event on December 23rd and have teased several devices thus far as part of their “Blue Charm” line. According to a report, this line will include smartphones, router, television set, smartband, etc. We’re still not sure what we’ll see announced on December 23rd though, Meizu Blue Charm and Blue Charm Note handsets seem like a given at this point, but Meizu might launch some of the aforementioned devices alongside their newest smartphone offerings.

Talking about smartphones, Blue Charm handset has been leaked a ton of times already, just like the Blue Charm Note, but we only found out their names recently. Today we have some new information to share with you regarding the Blue Charm smartphone. According to the latest rumor from China, this handset might sport a 5-inch display after all, despite the fact GFXBench listed a 4.6-inch display for this handset. That’s actually quite likely and seems logical, but I would be all that surprised we see the 4.6-inch panel after all, keep in mind that this is just a rumor after all. That very same rumors also mentions the price of the device, which has also leaked many times thus far. First rumors were claiming that the device will cost only 799 Yuan, but Meizu’s VP said that’s highly unlikely, so we were left with a rather vague rumors which came a long time ago stating that the device will cost 1000-1300 Yuan. Well, according to today’s information, Blue Charm smartphone will be priced at 999 Yuan ($161), which is still extremely affordable if you consider its specifications.

Talking about specs, according to GFXBench benchmarks, this handset will feature a 4.6-inch 1080p display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz will power on this device along with Mali T760 GPU. On the back of this device you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera and this will quite probably be a dual-SIM capable handset.
