Google has launched company's first phablet back in October. HTC-made Nexus 6 is a real monster in every way imaginable, this is a 6-inch phablet which carries beastly specs on the inside, but more on that later. This handset has rolled out to a bunch of carriers already and O2's turn has come it seems, Google's Nexus 6 handset is now available for purchase from said carrier in the UK. The phablet is still listed as "out of stock" in Google Play in the UK, but O2 managed to get its fair share of Nexus 6 units, the phablet is available for purchase on O2's Refresh tariff for those interested. The carrier is also running a special offer on the Nexus 6 until December 18th, you can get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2G of data for £38/a month with no upfront cost, an offer which appeal to some of you I believe. O2 also said that the Nexus 6 will be delivered within 24 hours after you purchase it. The 32GB Midnight Blue variant is the only available option at the moment.
Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs and 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage (only the 32GB variant is available from O2). This phablet is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes along with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics processing. On the back of this phablet, you'll find a 13-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera while there's a 2-megapixel shooter located up front. Nexus 6 ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop and a non-removable 3220mAh battery. Google's phablet measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1mm and weighs 184 grams while it comes with 4G LTE connectivity. The handset is available on a bunch of US carriers at the moment and has made its way to UK and some other parts of the world. We're expecting to see it launched in more countries around the world in the coming weeks.
