Meizu MX4 Pro Gets Ran Over By A Car And Manages To Function Just Fine Afterwards

Meizu has launched company's newest flagship, the Meizu MX4 Pro, last month. The device went on sale a couple of days ago and sold out instantly, it took Meizu under a minute to run out of stock, which either means the demand was overwhelming or this Chinese OEM didn't exactly prepare accordingly for the launch. I'd bet the first scenario took place considering in just 2 weeks Meizu received over 6.7 million pre-orders for this handset. Either way, the MX4 Pro is currently available although it might be out of stock in most places, you might still be able to find a store in China which has a few left, one of the resellers of course.

Anyhow, an interesting video popped up on Youku (Chinese video sharing network) recently, showing a car running over the Meizu MX4 Pro. You can check out the video yourself if you'd like, it's embedded down below this article. Regarding the content of said video, someone decided to test out the durability of the device it seems and in order to do so, they placed the phone on the concrete and ran over it with a car tire (front left). The result of this test is actually rather surprising, so surprising in fact, I'm kind of amazed. There's of course a chance that this whole thing was stage, but that might not be the case. The phone actually performed normally after this happened, it would be best if you check out the content of the video itself and share your thoughts with us.

Meizu MX4 Pro features a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1536) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, depending on which model you get. This handset is powered by Samsung's Exynos 5430 octa-core processor which comes with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU for graphics rendering. 20.7-megapixel camera from Sony is located on the back of this handset, while there's a 5-megapixel shooter up front. This device ships with Android 4.4 KitKat and Flyme OS on top of it while there's a 3350mAh battery packed inside of this handset. The device measures 150.1 x 77 x 9mm and it weighs 158 grams. This is a 4G LTE capable handset and it also sports a fingerprint scanner below the display, push-to-activate model. MX4 Pro's pricing in China is as follows: 2499 Yuan ($408) for a 16GB version, 2699 Yuan ($441) for a 32GB model and 3099 Yuan ($506) for the 64GB version.
