Huawei has been teasing their Glory / Honor 6 Plus handset for a while now. The company has released a bunch of teasers and a ton of sample images and all sorts of leaks and rumors came our way. This time around we get yet another pricing leak, this one suggests the price will be significantly lower than we originally thought. Huawei Honor 6 Plus listing popped up on Oppomart, a retailer which lists the device for $399, which is significantly less than the rumors which were pointing to a $533 price. The device is listed as “Out of Stock” of course, but this is really interesting. Presuming this will be its final price, this handset might be a whole lot more appealing to consumers this way.
According to TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC), the device will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 3GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 32GB of internal storage. Huawei’s Kirin 925 octa-core processor will probably power on this handset and 3,500mAh battery will come packed inside of this handset in order to keep it juiced up. Android 4.4 KitKat will come pre-installed on this device with Huawei’s very own Emotion UI on top of it. The most interesting part of this device is at its back, Glory / Honor 6 Plus will feature two 8-megapixel shooters which will reportedly offer all sorts of camera features and according to leaked images they do offer great image quality. This handset will measure 150.46 x 75.68 x 7.5mm and weight 165 grams.
Huawei already took a dig at iPhone 6 Plus with their “Not Just Bigger” ads which started appearing recently. Huawei is definitely on the right path, this Chinese OEM had a great 2014 and released a bunch of high-quality devices, they only have to find a way to lower the price of their handsets. If Glory 6 Plus ends up costing $399, I believe many people will be interesting in purchasing one for themselves, this handset brings great specs and I believe the build quality will also be up to par. Huawei is expected to launch this handset on December 16th, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet, we’ll have to wait and see.
