Huawei Ascend Mate 7's Alleged Successor Leaks; Bigger Speaker Grill In Tow

Huawei is on a roll lately, the company has announced their Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X handsets a couple of days ago and they intend to release yet another handset according to TENAA. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 was one of the best phablets of 2014, this device has great build quality, specs and it runs great, not to mention that it looks sleek as well. Huawei has recently announced a special edition of this phone, called "Ascend Mate 7 Monarch", which is basically the same phone as the original Mate 7, but has double the storage on the inside and comes in an exclusive Amber Gold color only.

New leak came our way, which at first looks like the Ascend Mate 7 Monarch, but it's not. If you take a closer look at the image down below, you'll notice that this handset has a far, far bigger speaker than the Ascend Mate 7 (Monarch). The original Mate 7 and Mate 7 Monarch have a rather small speaker grill in the lower left corner on the back of this phone, while this newly leaked device has a huge speaker grill in the lower middle part of the phone, its back side that is. The image of the front isn't all that great and we get to see the upper part of the phone, barely, so we can't exactly say how similar it is to the currently available devices. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a great looking phone and I guess Huawei will make some small tweaks in its design, but the company really doesn't have to make some huge changes as far as the design is concerned, so this might actually be the Ascend Mate 8. Let's wait and see if we get any more leaks / rumors in the coming weeks, but this sure look interesting.

Do you like the design of the original Ascend Mate 7 (and the phone itself), or do you think Huawei should make some major changes as far as that phone goes? I actually think Huawei is on the right path, their devices have become significantly better, same goes for their Emotion UI Android skin. Anyhow, let us know what you think.
