Whether you are a Samsung fan or not, take a few minutes and watch these engaging videos. While they promote the useful and fun things you can do with a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (or Galaxy Note Edge, for that matter), it is not an 'in-you-face' advertisement. They simply use the Galaxy Note 4 as a tool for the actors to use to accomplish their goals...and that is what the videos focus on - the goals and fun each person enjoys. For the first three videos, Samsung once again nabbed social media artists Shaun McBride (of Snapchat fame) and Rudy Mancuso (Vine star) to help out some bored or frustrated social media hashtag tweeters at #NOTEMYDAY. The final two videos are geared towards Christmas, one from a Mother's frustrated shopping experience and the second is about a boy's belief in Santa Claus.
Last week Samsung release the first batch of these videos called #NoteMyDay where the two guys actually went out to me the 'hashtaggers,' and did a selfie with the participants. This second group is dubbed "Twitter Takeover" where they can squeeze in a few more Twitter contestants by doing a short video and pictures in their apartment and Tweet them back to the 'hashtaggers' for a response.
The last two videos are part of Samsung's 'Do You Note' Christmas series. The first one is a Mom, whose job is to try to keep track of all the Christmas shopping with 'notes' laying around everywhere. The Galaxy Note 4 and its S-Pen and built-in software are ideal for keeping track of her gift ideas - she can 'grab and cut' presents from ads and store them neatly in a scrapbook. The second ad is about a kid that still believes in Santa and how he lets Santa know that he wants a skateboard and then, after the presents have been opened, one of the kids shows how easy it is to send Grandma a picture of the entire crew.
The ads are a departure from the attacks on other devices and companies (my personal favorites) and instead turns the attention to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and how it can help make your life more productive, while at the same time showcasing what makes the Note series so much more than just another big displayed smartphone.
