Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini on AT&T Gets VoLTE Update

 

While the Galaxy S4 Mini has never been one of Samsung's more impressive devices, it is nice to see the thing stay updated. Now, AT&T is bring VoLTE support to the little handset that could. You'll need WiFi for the update and it can be anywhere from 100MB to 500MB or so in size. Here's the changelog:

VoLTE inter-op call hold
SIM less 911 Dialing update
ISIM SQN re-sync for VoLTE reregistration
v4v6 for IMS PDN while roaming

LG G3 Lollipop Update Hits More Countries in Europe and India

 

LG have begun rolling out the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop throughout Europe as well as further afield in India. My father got his update this week in the UK, which left him running software version D85520e. It's rolled out throughout Western Europe and there are now reports of the update rolling out in India. It goes without saying that unlocked versions of the device will be getting the update first, but all-in-all, nobody should be left waiting much longer.

Galaxy S5 Owners Get Bugfix Update on Verizon

 

Verizon have sent out a new update to the Galaxy S5 which fixes a VPN issue, the blank SD card error and your phone is now free of ISIS and should see Softcard in its place. A small update, all you need to know is pictured above.

T-Mobile LG G2 Gets Free Inflight Texting in Latest Update

 

LG's G2 is getting a small update on T-Mobile this week, to software version D80120g which basically enabled inflight texting for free using the T-Mobile app as well as some WiFi and Bluetooth fixes. The full changelog is below:

T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting support
Bluetooth connectivity improvements
Wi-Fi connectivity improvements
UI improvements for T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting suport

Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition Finally Gets Lollipop

The Galaxy S4 that was blessed with clean, stock Android from Google is finally getting its update. The Galaxy S4 GPE is getting Android 5.0 Lollipop, and the update is pretty big at 500MB or so. If you haven't gotten the update just yet, then you can download the OTA file directly from Google here.

Amazon Rolls Out Big Update to the Fire Phone

Remember the Fire Phone? Of course you don't, because you don't have one. Okay, that was unfair, I'm sure there's at least five or six of you out there with Fire Phones, right? Either way, Amazon has started rolling out a pretty big update to the device that couldn't, giving a Fire OS version of 3.6.8 for unlocked models you can now buy, and 3.6.5 for those on AT&T. The changelog is a big one, and you can read it from Amazon here.
