Samsung Galaxy Note 3 isn’t exactly the newest handset around, but it is still an extremely powerful device. A couple of days ago we’ve seen a few screenshots which showed Android 5.0 Lollipop running on a Samsung SM-N900U (Exynos version of the device) unit and now the ROM itself is available for download. Keep in mind that this is a leaked early beta version of Android Lollipop update, so you can expect some bugs in there, quite probably some significant ones. The software might not even look like this once Samsung officially releases it, as they might decide to re-arrange some stuff, but it’s as real as it gets at the moment. If you’d like some more news regarding the bugs, click the source link down below which will take you to XDA Developers’ forum. Users have noticed a ton of bugs in the software as I already mentioned, so keep that in mind before you go ahead and read through the forum, considering there’s no point in going through with flashing this thing if you’re not willing to put up with all that, this is in no way, shape or form a daily driver material. If you’re willing to flash this software even considering all the bugs and what not, you can find detailed instruction in the source link as well.
This early beta ROM is definitely not for everyone, but it’s a good sign for all of you who are waiting for Samsung to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 3. Considering this early beta leaked, the final version of the software can’t be that far away. Samsung will most definitely release the update for its current-gen devices first, but the last-gen devices can’t be that far away considering this turn of events. Galaxy Note 3 was launched over a year ago, in September 2013, and as I said, it’s still a really powerful device. This phablet features a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card. Exynos 5 Octa 5420 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 variants of this handsets are available, depending on the region you live in.
