Everyone likes something for free, right? And with Christmas pretty much here now, most will have probably spent much more than they had intended to this month. Well, if that is the case then Amazon are looking to brighten up your Christmas. It is no secret that Amazon periodically releases a bunch of apps in one of their mega free app of the day (FAOTD) promotions. Generally speaking, there are always a couple of diamonds in there although a lot of the apps are debatable in terms of their quality or demand. Not to mention, these deals typically consist of repeat apps making appearances.
Well, regardless of whether you take advantage of the bundled Amazon free app promotions, you might want to take a peek at the latest app promotion Amazon will offer. This is their Christmas app bundle which Amazon announced this morning. The latest app offering will be Amazon's biggest ever. According to the press release, the app bundle will offer customers savings up to $220. As of yet, they have not released any details on what apps will be offered although they have announced that apps from developers like Halfbrick Studios, Rovio Entertainment and Sega of America will all be included. The apps which are going free will range in their normal paid price of between $0.99 and $64.99.
Unfortunately, if you want to get in on the action and see what's on offer, you will have to wait a bit longer. The promotion will go live on December 24th and will run through until December 26th. So this will be a Christmas only type deal. If you cannot wait for the promotion to start to save on some apps, then it is worth noting that Amazon also announced that starting from today anyone who buys (or gifts) Amazon coins can get up to 30% off the total cost of the coin purchase. So, although it is unlikely any of the new and biggest titles will be included in the free deal, it might be worth buying some coins and then using them to purchase the big games of the year. This will hopefully, offer a 30% discount off of the normal selling price. Are you a fan of Amazon's bundled free app promotions? What would you like to see included in this year's Christmas bundle?
