After some teasing and misleading, Meizu has confirmed that they’ll hold an event on December 23rd and announce a new device for “young people”. In other words, the company will release a new “Blue Charm” brands of devices. We’re rather certain that this Chinese OEM will launch their Blue Charm and Blue Charm Note handsets on said date, even though some additional devices (router, TV set, etc.) were rumored as well as part of that line, but I believe those will be launch at some other event, we’ll see. We’ve seen plenty of Blue Charm and Blue Charm Note leaks thus far, but none of them gave us a rather clear look at the handset, well, this new information might change that.
A new image surfaced in China and it allegedly shows us Meizu’s upcoming Blue Charm handset in that image. This is reportedly the smaller device and it sports a 4.7-inch display according to the leak, not the 4.6-inches we originally thought. As you can see, the device sports that capacitive “dot” button below the display and resembles the Meizu MX4 a whole lot, at least from the front. The back side will be made out of plastic and if leaks are to believed it will be a glossy plastic like we’ve seen on the iPhone 5C for example, the company even sent out such invites for the event, so it’s safe to assume they’ll go that way as far as the design goes. You may also notice that this is a dual-SIM device, which was to be expected.
This handset will allegedly sport a 4.6 or 4.7-inch Full HD 1080p display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16GB of internals storage. MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor will power on this handset along with Mali T760 GPU for graphics processing. 13-megapixel camera will be located on the back of these handsets while you’ll be able to find a 2-megapixel snapper on their front side. These devices will be available in Orange, Blue, White, Green and Yellow color options, but Pink and Purple are also a possibility. The Blue Charm Note will sport the exact same specs, except it will have a bigger 5.5-inch panel on the front. We’re still not sure how much these handsets will cost, but the price will be somewhere between 799 and 1,299 Yuan ($129-209).
