ZTE Nubia X6 Gets a Price Cut Down To 2,499 Yuan ($407)

ZTE Nubia X6 handset was launched earlier this year, in March. The handset sports a rather solid spec sheet and its original price was 2,999 Yuan ($489). The handset was discounted by China Mobile to 1,699 Yuan ($277) earlier this month and now we get some information that ZTE will permanently discount the handset to 2,499 Yuan ($407). The device comes in two variants, the lower-end variant of the device will receive the discount. Main version of the device (the discounted one) is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AB) quad-core SoC and will sport 2GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. The other, higher-end version of the device, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Other than that, these two devices are the same. 13-megapixel dual-camera (f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens) with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) comes with these handsets and both of them sport dual-4G connectivity as well as EVDO, CDMA, GSM, WCDMA and TD-SCDMA band support.

This is a rather solid deal for this device, though there are better deals in China in my opinion. It's really hard to compete with brands as Xiaomi and Meizu as far as pricing goes, if you don't mind their software offerings of course. You might also recall that ZTE's Nubia Z9 leaked recently, the so-called bezelless phone. The rumors say that the device will be introduced next month, in December, and even the device itself has leaked. I have to say I'm rather interested to see what ZTE has to offer because the device looks rather nice in my humble opinion. It would be… well, interesting to use something without any bezel on the sides, other than the metallic trim which holds the device, of course. There's still no word on the specifications of this handset, but if rumors are to be believed, this will be ZTE's newest flagship handset and it should have high-end specs according to that.

Does any one of you own a Nubia X6? I haven't had the chance to use it and I'm wondering what are your experiences with the device. Other than that, what are your thoughts on the leaked Nubia Z9?
