T-Mobile to Start Selling the Nexus 9 Tablet in Early December

T-Mobile revealed today that the Nexus 9 Tablet with 32GB and LTE/Wi-Fi version of Google's new tablet would go on sale in early December.  Customers can pick one up for $0 down and $24.99 a month for 24 months.  While they do not come out and say what the price is to buy it outright, they do have at the bottom that if you cancel your wireless service, it will cost you the remaining balance of $599.76.  T-Mobile, the Un-carrier, has no domestic overages, unlimited music streaming on their network as well, plus unlimited data and texting in 120+ countries and destinations.

The Google tapped HTC to build the new Nexus 9 tablet this year – there is no new Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 as Google decided to jump right in the middle with a 9-inch tablet.  It was officially announced on October 15 and then went up for pre-orders via the Play Store on October 17, with shipping set to go around November 3.  Like the Nexus 6 smartphone, this Nexus 9 comes to us as a real premium flagship device, built out of metal and plastic with the usual Nexus look – austere, but practical.

The Nexus 9 comes with an 8.9-inch QXGA IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and 288 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  For processing power, HTC used a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 dual-core clocked at 2.3GHz and backed up with 2GB of RAM.  You can get either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and there is no room for expansion.  It features an 8MP auto-focus camera with f/2.4 aperture and an LED Flash.  The front-facing camera (FFC) is 1.6MP with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video chatting.  Providing power is a 6700mAh battery.  It measures 228.2 mm x 153.7 mm x 7.9 mm and the LTE model weighs in a 436 grams. It also comes with Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a microUSB port for charging and data transfer, it is NFC capable, with dual stereo front-facing speakers with BoomSound and comes in three colors – Black, White and Sand.  It also comes packing the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop and all of its new features.
