Huawei's Ascend P7 Is Goes on Sale in India For RS 27,999 ($453)

Huawei is expected to launch Glory 6X handset soon, either during the company's event which will take place in a few days or in December. While we're waiting for that launch, Huawei is making its devices available in more countries. Another device by this company just arrived in India and is now available via Flipkart and Amazon India, I'm talking about Huawei Ascend P7 handset. This handset features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card). Ascend P7 is powered by Huawei's very own HiSilicon Kirin 910T quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The handset comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed on top of which you'll find Huawei's EMotion UI 2.3. This skin comes with a number of software features like super power-saving mode, customizable clock and home screens, harassment filter, permission manager, notification and network management, and so on. On the back of this handset you'll find a 13-megapixel camera flanked by an LED flash while there's a 8-megapixel camera located on the front of the device.

You can get this device in India now for INR 27,999 ($453) via Amazon India or Flipkart. Huawei Ascend P7 will face tough competition in India, Android One, Xiaomi handset, Motorola handset and a bunch of other devices which are available in India. Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Sony Xperia Z1 might be its direct competitors as far as price point goes though. Consumers in India have a ton of choices as far as smartphones go, not only did Google launch its Android One program in India by releasing 3 handset a while back, but world's biggest OEMs started selling their handsets there, even Motorola is offering their devices in Indian market, which struck me as odd at first. It makes all the sense in the world OEMs would want to sell their devices in India though, we're talking about the second biggest market in the world. Xiaomi is also one manufacturer which enjoys great success in India, the company is selling their handsets via so called "Flash Sales" through Flipkart, sells bunch of them. The most popular one is Redmi 1S. Anyhow, do you like the Ascend P7 and do you think this is a fair price for this handset?
