It's the season of deals as we roll into the holidays with thanksgiving next week and Christmas in just under a month and a half away, and with that we're going to start seeing some pretty crazy awesome deals on devices from the previous year. In this case we're talking about last year's model of the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9-inch tablet, running Amazon's FireOS that's based off of the Android platform. Normally the price for one of these tablets is $399, but with this latest deal Amazon is offering them for $140 off that cost bringing them down to a price of $259, which is a complete steal for what you get, and not bad considering what it can do.
Inside the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 you get stereo speakers and a 2.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear facing camera, an 8.9-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution display. It also has the mayday button which gets you on demand device technical support from a live rep should you need help with your tablet for any reason. It is of course limited to the Amazon App Store for apps and games, and any other content like books, movies, or music that you want to buy will becoming from Amazon too, but if you don't particularly mind not having access to the Play Store and are just looking for a decent tablet, check out the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
