Samsung's Galaxy Core Prime Shows Up For Pre-Order

Well it looks like another phone in the Samsung Prime family has made an appearance on the web and this time it offers LTE connectivity. This new phone, being called the Galaxy Core Prime, appears to be the new addition to the Prime family, right behind the selfie-focused Galaxy Grand Prime. And while the Galaxy Core Prime will not have a camera quite as good as the Galaxy Grand Prime, it will make up for that with it's LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Core Prime has popped-up for pre-order on the Indian retailer's website, Flipkart. Obviously the pre-order page has been put up prematurely by mistake, and while that's bad news for someone else, it's good news for us as consumers. The pre-order page lists the Galaxy Core Prime's specs as wells as detailed specs of the device. While the variant of the device that Flipkart has up for pre-order has only one SIM card slot and no LTE, we want to stress that several variants of the device have recently passed through the FCC that have dual-SIM card slots as well as LTE. Three variants of the Galaxy Core Prime, the SM-G3606, G3608, and G3609, have all made a stop by the FCC.

Let's go ahead and go over some of the key specs of the Galaxy Core Prime as listed on the Flipkard pre-order page. The device will have an expandable storage space of 64GB, a 5MP primary camera, 2MP secondary camera, 4.5-inch display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, and will be running Android 4.4 KitKat. Also worth mentioning is that the device will be capable of full HD recording, a nice feature to have on a cheaper smartphone. And while there is no official pricing currently available for the Galaxy Core Prime, the Flipkart pre-order page has it listed for Rs. 8499, about $140.

Because of the Galaxy Core Prime already being listed and up for pre-order by Flipkart, we are assuming that it wont be long before Samsung makes the device official and gives us some official pricing. If you want to have a look at the phone we have put together a gallery of it below, there is also a link to the Flipkart pre-order page for the device.
