Meizu MX4 Performed Great In A Battery Life Test, On Par With The Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8

Meizu MX4 has launched at the beginning of September and the company has already sold a ton of these devices. So much that they're having issues meeting the demand, that actually tells you something about the quality of Meizu's products. Not many people abroad have heard of Meizu nor are they familiar with the products of this China-based company, but Meizu is huge in its homeland. Meizu MX4 really does give you a lot of bang for your buck and the company has even shipped this devices for $449 (tax and shipping included) all over the world. It seems like this move was spot on for Meizu and it will definitely get this company some attention outside of China.

I bet many of you wonder how does this device perform battery-wise. Well, guys over at Phone Arena decided to test that out. Meizu MX4 is packing a 3100mAh battery and (spoiler alert) it did really well in these tests. They managed to get 7 hours and 25 minutes out of Meizu MX4, which is really great. In comparison, Samsung Galaxy S5 was able to run for 7 hours and 38 minutes and HTC One M8 for 7 hours and 18 minutes. Though, truth be told, these device have somewhat smaller batteries than the MX4 (2800mAh and 2600mAh respectively). The time mentioned here is actually the time an average user should be able to get out of the device if he doesn't put it down to rest at all, so you can imagine how great these results are. If you're not pushing your phone like a maniac you could even get 2 days of use out of it. You could perhaps get even more time out of it if you use a built-in power save mode. If you wonder how some other phones performed in this test, check out the image down below.

Meizu MX4 really does seem like a great buy thus far. The phone is well designed and it features some really admirable specs on the inside along with a great price tag and a camera. We acquired the device and will put it through its paces, so stay tuned.
