Lenovo 328A Released in India for Rs. 7,299

Lenovo has a full line of smartphones from budget to flagship – their A series leans toward the lower end, budget side.  The newest rendition is the A328 going for Rs.7299, or about US$120 for our U.S. readers.  The Lenovo A526 launched earlier this year had similar specifications, but the A328 has a better camera.  It is available from the official thedostore.com and at 1,400 Lenovo stores and other retail stores across India.  It is a nice looking device with the rounded corners to the back, making it comfortable to hold in your hand.  The front has rather large bezels and the microUSB connector is found on the top of the device along with the headphone plug.

The Lenovo A328 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.  The processor is a MediaTek MT6582 Quad-Core clocked at 1.3GHz and is paired up with 1GB of RAM and only 4GB of internal memory; however, there is a microSD card slot that will allow you to expand an additional 32GB.  The main camera is a 5MP fixed focused shooter with a LED Flash and a 2MP front-facing camera (FFC) for video chatting and the popular selfie.  It comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 3G (HSDPA+: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps).  The power is provided by a 2,000 mAh battery and it has a single speaker on the back…colors are Black or White and it measures 132 x 68.5 x 11mm and weighs in at 140 grams.

The Lenovo A328 runs Android 4.4 KitKat, comes with a Dual SIM so you can have two phone numbers to take advantage of more than one data plan if you travel overseas for business or pleasure.  The A328 also comes preloaded with the Lenovo DOit Apps – like SHAREIT that allows you to share files wirelessly without data charges or a Wi-Fi connection.  Another one is called Security that speeds up your phone and protects it from viruses.  SYNCit lets you backup and restore – contacts, SMS messages and call logs.  A328 even allows your GPS to work, even if you have no internet connection.
