If you've been paying attention today you will know that there is a new device making some waves in the news. Its name is the Motorola Droid Turbo, but you already knew that. This one is up there in terms of specs and is highly rated among those of who love the Droid range, but you knew that too. Well, the device is set for a Halloween release and will be available on October 30th for $199.99 on a two-year contract. You knew that as well. OK, well here is five quick reasons that you might not know for why you should buy the device.
First up is its build quality. This is a stonker of a phone in terms of how it is built and will be available in two equally appealing builds. the first consists of metalized glass fiber which is backed up by DuPont Kevlar fiber while the second consists of ballistic nylon. Both of these will offer an extremely resilient build while also being rather light in weight. Not forgetting that both variants will of course come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display which seems to be everything-resistant. Spaking of the display, this brings me to the second reason, its screen. This is one of the best screens you can get offering a 5.2" AMOLED display with an extremely high resolution of 2560 x 1440 (565 ppi). Sounds good right. Well, if that wasn't enough maybe the camera will sway you. You see the camera on the Droid Turbo is not a 13MP shooter, its not even a 16MP camera, no this bad boy comes loaded with a whopping 21MP snapper. With that kind of MP you are ranking right up there with the Sony offerings. For the geeks out there you might also want to know that the camera features include HD, Quick Capture support and the ability to record 4K UHD video. I hear you, all these big-end features is just going to put a massive strain on your battery.
I know. But did I not mention the fourth reason to pick up the new Droid? Ah, well you'll like this one, the battery. Yes, a big phone with big features needs big power and Motorola and Verizon have not skimped here offering a massive 3,900mAh battery attached. Even more impressive is that Verizon are claiming 48 hours usage on a single charge. Not bad huh. Of course there is the added problem that a big battery will take forever to charge. Then again the fifth reason to pick up the Droid is its conveniently named 'Turbo Charging'. You see the Droid Turbo comes with a Snapdragon 805 processor which as you should know is compatible with Qualcomm's Quick Charge Technology 2. This means you can expect to get up to 8 hours battery life off of only 15 minutes charging.
So there you go. Five big reasons to buy Motorola's new big seller, the Droid Turbo. It is extremely well built, comes with an excellent display and camera, is powered by a big battery with two-day usage and will charge in minutes. Ahh, you didn't know all of that. Well glad to be of service. So what do you think of the Droid? Is it living up to expectations? A rival for the Nexus 6 and Note 4? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment.
