Google has announced a new version of their Android operating system on Wednesday, along with a couple of new Nexus devices. Android 5.0 Lollipop is the name of this new OS, as many of you already assumed. We've seen a ton of content back at Google I/O when Google actually showed us the OS and released a developer preview of it. This time around Google didn't exactly hold an event to show us the OS or new devices (though we're used to it at this point), but they made sure we get all the necessary details though. Google made a bunch of improvements in this new version of the OS, the most obvious one is the design. Google is using a skeuomorphic approach this time around, which basically means you'll see lots of animations on the screen and every piece of content will have its destination, elements of the OS won't just disappear into thin air. Flat is still very much alive though, at least as far as the general design goes. Google decided not to use flashy colors but rather more soothing ones, which I think is a great decision. Google also improved the responsiveness of the system, release a bunch of APIs for developers, improved the security of the OS and so on. There's really a lot to cover, so if you want to know more feel free to visit this link.
I know lots of you are interested in Android L wallpapers and we have two of those to share with you today. Thanks to Google+ users Leonardo Fiaschi, we know have some Android Lollipop wallpapers to download. One is located above this article, while the other one is right below it. All you have to do to download them is right click on either of them and click "Save Image As...", or something similar, depending on your OS of choice. If we stumble upon any more wallpapers we'll make sure to share them with you, until then I hope you'll enjoy these two at the very least. The first one is especially Lollipop-ish I'd say, it somehow reminds me of Material Design for some reason, though that's just me of course. Anyhow, hopefully we'll see more wallpapers leak soon. As a side note, Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout will reportedly start on November 3rd for Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 which will be followed by Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 devices shortly after. Let us know if you liked either of these wallpapers on our Google+ page.
