Xiaomi's Next Redmi 1S Flash Sale On September 30th And Registrations Are Already Open

Since its July announcement Xiaomi seem to be making massive waves with their Redmi 1S. The device has seen incredible success in September being released in India periodically via flash sales. Back on September 2nd, the device sold 40,000 units in 4.2 seconds which was followed by another flash sale on September 9th which again saw another 40,000 units flying out in 4.5 seconds. Only this morning the latest RedmiĀ 1S flash sale began and again Xiaomi managed to shift 60,000 units in only 5.2 seconds. This means today's sale was the quickest when you factor in units-per-second.

Within hours of the current sale ending it now seems Xiaomi are already planning the next one. The next flash sale is due for September 30th (a week from today) and works like the previous sale. Once more there are 60,000 units up for grabs and those interested need to register for the sale (prior to the flash sale) to take part. It is also worth noting if you previously registered for the last sale and did not get one you do need to register again for the next sale. Your previous registration does not carry-over. The registration window has already opened and will remain open until midnight (local time) on September 29th. The sale will then commence on September 30th at 2pm (local time). Consistent with all previous Redmi 1s flash sales in India registration is via Flipkart and you can register your interest by clicking here.

If you need a quick recap on the device, the Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7" HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside the device is equipped with 1 GB RAM, a Snapdragon 400 Quad-core processor (clocks at 1.6GHz) with an Adreno 305 GPU. You also get an 8MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front shooter as well as 8 GB internal storage and a micro SD capability (up to 32 GB). Additional features include 2G, 3G, dual-SIM, Bluetooth and micro USB (2.0). The Redmi 1S comes loaded with Android 4.3 (JellyBean) with Xiaomi's MIUI 5 OS skin on top. Consistent with the previous sale the device will again cost Rs 5,990 which for everyone else is roughly $100. So, anyone going to try their luck next week? What are your predictions for how quickly they will sell this time? Can they shift 60,000 in under 5 seconds? Let us know your thoughts.
