Yesterday, as most of you know, Apple "invented" the big phone. They announced the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which are 4.7 and 5.5 inch smartphones, respectively. Now for years and years, Apple said that 3.5 inches was the sweet spot, then raised that to 4-inches for the iPhone 5. Now they've jumped to a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch version of the iPhone. Which is kind of ironic after all the jabs they've taken at the likes of Samsung for using larger devices, like the Galaxy Note line. Which is an extremely popular line of smartphones and tablets as well. Looks like Apple decided to go big too. Well Bigger than Bigger, according to Apple.
We saw HTC, and Sony both trolling Apple yesterday on Twitter and other social media networks. And well today, Samsung has taken to Twitter to troll Apple. By using a quote from Steve Jobs, ironically. Their image basically said "No one is going to buy Big phones" which is what Steve Jobs said a few years ago, obviously before he died. The image also says "Guess who surprised themselves and changed their minds". Then they promote the Galaxy Note 4 and the hashtag #MoreThanBig.
It's subtle, but also pretty funny. Since they are using Apple's words against them. Which I thought was brilliant. I always love seeing companies do these types of things to each other. It makes for good comedy, while also promoting their products. The Galaxy Note 4 was announced last week with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16MP camera and a 3200mAh battery. So in terms of specs, it really blows away the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. How many of you are thinking about picking up an iPhone 6 this year since they went bigger?
