Everybody loves a bargain when it comes to wireless service and in the U.S., we have a lot of choices in many price ranges. Many times the plans are so confusing or filled with so much 'fine print,' we are never sure exactly what we are getting. We also enjoy access to the four large carriers - Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile - as well as postpaid (contract plans) and prepaid (non-contract) plans. One such prepaid company in the U.S., MetroPCS, just announced via Twitter that they now officially provide nationwide 4G LTE service. All of this is a no hassle $40 a month for unlimited data, text and talk. The Twitter tweet says: "MetroPCS is for all of us. Whether you're a cowboy, a skateboarder or a UFC Heavyweight champion, Metro gives you unlimited data, talk and text for $40, period all riding on T-Mobile's blazing fast nationwide 4G LTE network. That's why so many people all over America are saying "I am Metro." "
MetroPCS is owned by T-Mobile and uses their network that provides service to about 200 million Americans. T-Mobile has been expanding MetroPCS's footprint throughout this past year and is now available across their entire network...all for starting at only $40 per month for unlimited everything. Their 'fine print' -everybody has it - is that the first 1GB of data is at 4G speeds, after that, the data is still unlimited, but it slows down from 4G. Data available at 4G speeds increase as the price goes up - the $50 plan gives you 3GBs at un-throttled 4G speeds and $60 a month gives you unlimited data. A family plan will knock-off $5.00 per month off of each user per month.
There are no annual contracts to sign, so you can jump off whenever you choose - you buy your phone, receive your phone, and activate it. They offer a wide variety of devices, from a Samsung Galaxy S5 to an Alcatel 768 flip phone and you will need to pick up a MetroPCS SIM Card that you purchase separately for $10.00. Please hook up with us on our Google+ Page and let us know if you are now or plan to become a MetroPCS customer. How is your service and are you happy with your plan? As always, we would love to hear from you.
