Meizu and Xiaomi are the two most talked about Chinese smartphone manufacturers lately. Meizu MX4 sales are through the roof ever since the device launched earlier this month while Xiaomi is having great success with the Redmi line of devices and their Mi4 handset is no slouch when it comes to sales either. It seems like Xiaomi feels threatened by Meizu's MX4 device and is getting ready to launch two new devices this year, high(er)-end Redmi device and a cheaper model of their Mi4 flagship. There has been some talk Meizu will launch three new devices by the end of this year and now we get some more information on this matter.
We've seen many leaks and heard many rumors on Meizu MX4 Pro device which will allegedly launch next month, there has also been some talka bout Meizu MX4 Mini and there's allegedly another unnamed device this company will launch by the end of this year. According to the newest report from Weibo (Chinese social MX4 Mini and there's allegedly another unnamed device this company will launch by the end of this year. According to the newest report from Weibo (Chinese social network) two of Meizu's upcoming models will sport 64-bit processor by the end of 2014. MediaTek's MT6732 and MT6752 processors will allegedly be used to power those devices. The devices will allegedly sport 5 and 5.5-inch displays and the first one to appear will reportedly sport a quad-core 64-bit MT6732 while the second one is expected to come sporting the octa-core MT6752 chip. If I had to guess, I'd say that the MX4 Mini will sport the quad-core 64-bit chip while the MX4 Pro will carry the octa-core 64-bit variant. Keep in mind that this is just a rumors at this point and I'm, of course, only guessing when it comes to processor placement.
Meizu MX4 Pro is rumored to sport a 5.36-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM. The device is also rumored to feature an HTC One (M8)-like magnesium alloy body and a 20.7-megapixel camera. Many processors were mentioned to power this device thus far, from Samsung's Exynos 5430 CPU to Huawei's and MediaTek's offerings. It seems like the device might sport a MediaTek chip after all according to today's rumors. We don't have much information when it comes to MX4 Mini on the other hands, but a 1080p display (probably like the one in the original MX4) has been mentioned as well as 4G connectivity and a 1499 Yuan price point.
