As we are getting closer and closer to HTC's event that's taking place on October 8th, we're hearing and seeing more leaks and rumors as to what they might be putting out at this event. Over the last couple of days, Upleaks has been posting a lot of tweets about the HTC M8 Eye and the HTC Eye. Which now seem to be two different smartphones. Both seem to have "real" camera's as some people would say.
So it appears that the HTC Eye is the selfie-centric smartphone. Which we are almost certain that they are going to be announcing at this event. Since they are asking for a selfie when you RSVP. But we may also see a new camera-like device, to compete with the GoPro Camera. And now it looks like we'll be seeing a second smartphone, the HTC M8 Eye. The HTC Eye is supposedly making it's way to all four carriers later this year.
The HTC M8 Eye appears to be exactly the same as the HTC One M8, except for the camera. It has a much beefier camera, going from a 4MP camera to a 13MP camera. Now I do hope that it is still a UltraPixel camera, as the bigger pixels really do make a difference. But I am glad it'll still be a DuoCamera, as the effects the DuoCamera can do is pretty amazing.
We're likely to hear more and more about these devices HTC will be announcing at this event in the next few weeks. But so far it looks to be about 3 products that HTC has to show us. It'll be interesting to see what they do. As they haven't really "wow'ed" us this year. Sure the M8 was amazing looking and feeling, but it wasn't a huge improvement over last year's model, and their sales are showing them just that. What are you hoping for at this HTC event next month?
