Galaxy Note 4 Might Get Released Sooner Than Expected (In Korea, at least)

Samsung has introduced a bunch of its products at the company's pre-IFA press conference, four to be more exact. Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 phablet was the what people expected most at that conference and I don't think this Korean giant disappointed us with this device. They bumped up Note 3's specifications and features while adding metallic build to the device. Samsung also introduced innovative and experimental Galaxy Note Edge phablet with a weird looking Edge screen, Gear S Tizen-based smartwatch and Gear VR, a virtual reality headset which they build in collaboration with Oculus. Let's focus on Galaxy Note 4 now.

Samsung didn't exactly mention exactly when their new phablet will launch, though they did say that will happen in October. It seems like that might happen a bit sooner in South Korea though. According to the source close to SK Telekom, Galaxy Note 4 will be available for pre-order starting with September 18th (take a look at SK Telekom's banner below) and the phablet will allegedly launch on September 26. Please note these are not official information but a leak from someone inside the SK Telekom, at least that's what the source claims. South Korean operators might do this despite Samsung instructed them to wait for October, they have done the same thing with Galaxy S5's launch. On the other hand, Samsung might speed up the process a bit in order to steal Apple's iPhone thunder. I'm only guessing of course, we'll find out soon enough.

Galaxy Note 4 is sporting a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). The device will be available in 2 processor versions, one version will sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 chip while the other one will have Samsung's very own Exynos 5433 octa-core chip on the inside. The device comes with a 16-megapixel camera which sports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing shooter. 3,220mAh battery is also part of the package as is Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung's heavily skinned Revolving UX UI on top of it.
