Android App Updates Sept. 19, 2014: PayPal Here, Dropcam, HTC Gallery and More

Aviary updates and finally brings Undo to the list of features

For a while, people have been asking Aviary to add an option to undo changes. After all this is a photo editing app, so you'd think that'd be one of the first features it'd have. Nope. Not until this week. It's finally here though. Let's see what else we have in the changelog. "We've finally added our #1 feature request: UNDO! Undo or redo any recent edits by swiping over your photo after applying an edit. Minor bug fixes and improvements."

PayPal Here finally plays nice with Tablets

Finally, PayPal's other app, PayPal Here plays nicer with tablets. This app basically allows you take payments on the go by swiping someones credit card. Very similar to Square and it's a big deal for small business owners. Now the app supports tablets, which is great. Here are the ones that it's been verified to work with so far.

"ASUS Nexus 7" 2013, Samsung Nexus 10", ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T, Samsung Galaxy Note 10", Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7", Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10", Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10", Samsung Galaxy Tab 4-7", Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10", Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro, and Sony Experia Z Tablet."

Latest Dropcam Update integrates with Nest

Now here's something cool. The Dropcam update that came out earlier this week now allows integration with Nest, which Google picked up earlier this year. According to the changelog on Google Play "New setting enables Dropcam to work with the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm"

HTC Gallery App Updates

HTC's Gallery app, that is only compatible with 2013 and later HTC devices, got a nice update this week. It added in some new effects for seasons and foregrounder. It also added in some new typography setting in seasons. Which is nice. Additionally there are more "improvements" according to their changelog. Obviously these changes really only affect the HTC One M8, since these are duo Camera effects.

Pandora finally redesigned their Android app. And I have to say, it's been a longtime coming. The new design is now flatter, and looks amazing. Additionally it also has transparent status bar and navigation bars. And boy does it look amazing!
