Acer Announces The Iconia One 8 With Multiple Color Options

In addition to unveiling the new Iconia Tab 10 early in the am, Acer also took the lid off their brand new tablet in the ONE series, the Acer Iconia One 8. This stylish 8-inch tablet continues the One series of tablet devices from Acer with an obvious 8-inch screen size and powered by an Intel Atom TM Z3735G  quad-core CPU to handle any task users need it for. The Iconia One 8 is also the tablet for anyone who is looking for a device that they can use to display their personal taste in color and style, as Acer is releasing the Iconia One 8 in ten vibrant colors to suit pretty much anyone.

Acer is also keen on pointing out the textured pattern on the back, which from personal experience with other devices that have a similar textured pattern on the back can help with grip on the device. Acer improves on the handling experience with an anti-slip grip coating to make sure that holding it not only feels comfortable but also secure. This is also helped by the size of the tablet, as the Iconia One 8 weighs just 340 grams and is 8.5mm thin. It has an all around portable design, which makes it easy to hold and to use, and even easier to fit into any bag pocket for travel storage.

Just like the Acer Iconia Tab 10 the Iconia One 8 has a zero air gap and uses IPS screen technology, although the Iconia One 8 has a lower resolution, sporting an HD display with 1280 x 800 resolution yet that should still provide a decent viewing experience with sharp picture quality. The screen sports the same wide viewing angles as the Iconia Tab 10, and also comes with an anti-fingerprint coating. The Iconia One 8 also comes running Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box, but will instead launch sometime in October. It'll be available at a fairly low cost, at $149 USD or 149€, and as we stated it comes in 10 different colors. The Iconia One 8 comes in Jade Green, Sunshine Yellow, Vivid Orange, Sky Blue, Essential White, Midnight Black, Fragrant Pink, Violet Purple, Mia Blue, and Garnet Red.
