Wind Mobile has really been busy the past couple of days – lowering roaming charges in Canada and the U.S. and today they announced a Back-to-School WIND 35 Plan special and now they are allowing Pay Before customers to quickly and conveniently top-up their card or account. Hey, Wind Mobile certainly wants to make it as easy as possible to add more money on your account and now you can do it in any amount, as well.
Right now, you can top-up your account several ways – online, via text or in-store, but you had to have a top-up card. Starting August 14 – hey that's today – you can walk in and top-up directly in the store. Of course, you can do that now, but it was always been a two-step process – you had to go into the store and purchase a top-up card in preset denominations, and then you had to manually top-up your account yourself using that card by keying items on your device. Okay, it is not complicated, but more steps than is necessary for something so simple. According to more leaked documents (Snowden has nothing over on these guys), our source is telling us that you will now be able to walk into any Wind Mobile store and top-up with any value that you chose (between $1.00 – $150.0o) – right down to the penny – and the best news is that the top-up will occur automatically. You will no longer need to take the purchased card and use the *123# and follow the subsequent prompts to add that card amount to your account.
The document, shown below, does not tell us if you can top-up someone else's phone number or transfer funds from one device to another right in the store. You can do that now if you manually enter the information – the other person's phone number and information, but it would be so quick and convenient if they could do all of that directly in the store without the customer lifting a finger…yes, I know we are a lazy bunch!
