If you've ever used a bigger tablet, anything 10-inches or bigger, you've probably experienced a bit of wrist fatigue after holding it up for a while. Even smaller tablets can make your arm tired if you're holding it up for an entire TV show or movie on Netflix. There are a plenty of tablet stands, but most are made for a certain tablet model. There are very few universal tablet stands. PowerSkin, the company that makes battery cases for some Samsung Galaxy devices and the iPhone, is launching a Kickstarter for a new tablet stand called the SpinPadGrip that is supposed to help you "hold it, grip it, stand it, grab it, hang it and spin it." Sounds like a Daft Punk song, but for your tablet.
The SpinPadGrip has a name that you're sure to mix up and a design that is actually pretty cool. SpinPadGrip works with almost any tablet or any size or brand. It will even attach to most cases. It has a handle that folds down and will act as a stand, as well as letting you carry your tablet around. The handle is "anti-slip and ergonomic". PowerSkin says they designed it this way so that your tablet will be "more functional for gripping and gaming, hanging, typing or sitting on a desktop in portrait or landscape mode". The handle swivels 360 degrees and reclines 180 degrees. Once you attach the SpinPadGrip to your tablet, it's a handle, a stand, and makes your tablet use easier no matter what you're doing.
PowerSkin is kicking off their Kickstarter on September 1. The first 150 supporters can pick up a SpinPadGrip for $25. There will also be 100 Limited Edition SpinPadGrips for $40 each. The accessory will retail for $50 once it hits the market, so even the Limited Edition tier saves you $10 over the full price. It looks like a pretty cool tablet accessory that will actually be useful. You can find more information on the SpinPadGrip sign up page. The company is even giving one away, all you have to do to enter is submit your email address.
