Possible Leaks Of The Huawei Ascend G7 Or Mate 7 Surface On The Web

As we march towards IFA which is taking place in Berlin during the first and second weeks of September(although not throughout the entire two weeks)we seem to be stumbling across more invites being sent out over events set to take place during the conference. Huawei had recently sent out invites for their event happening during that time. Although not coming straight from Huawei, some leaked images have surfaced of what might be their upcoming flagship, the Ascend Mate 7. The source also reports that it's a possibility the images we see here could also be of the Ascend G7, which looks and is designed similar to the Mate 7 but is packed with more mid-range specs on the inside.

Aside from the image that seems to show off the unknown device's specifications, there appears to be a fingerprint scanner on the backside of this device, also accompanied by the rear facing camera and the LED flash above it. The specs listed show 1GB of RAM, not likely to be the amount on the Mate 7. There's also 16GB of internals storage, although according to the image of the specs it looks like only 9.26GB is usable, probably due to the software and other apps that may be running on this unit pictured which is obviously a pre production model.

The processor and the screen resolution are also lower than to be expected of something Huawei would pack into their last flagship device of the year, with the screen coming in packing only 720p resolution. The Ascend Mate7 had shown up in benchmarks prior to these leaks and is believed to house a 6.1-inch screen with 1080p resolution, which is why this is believed to be the Ascend G7 instead. However it does bear a striking resemblance to the Ascend Mate 7 with the same unibody metal design. Sadly the leaks all contain the phone enclosed in a protective case which covers up any more definitive signs of the end result design, something that's to be expected as Huawei likely doesn't want the official design of the phone to leak before they announce it. That time shouldn't be too far away though and soon enough we should learn more about this device.
