Moto G2 Images And Partial Specifications Leak Ahead Of Launch

As you all know, Motorola announced a press event for September 4th which will be held in Chicago (they also announced one for India on September 5th). Motorola somewhat surprisingly decided to avoid Berlin and will hold a separate event, though this will be happening during IFA. As part of the press event announcement, Motorola teased (it wasn't exactly subtle) the launch of Moto X+1, Moto G2 and Moto 360 smartwatch. So we basically know what to expect from Motorola in terms of devices, though the details are still a bit blurry of course.

Moto G was an extremely popular device, no wonder considering its price. We might even say it is still popular considering it is heavily discounted in various stores considering its successor is on the way. We've seen various rumors and leaks when it comes to Moto G2 over the past weeks, including the device itself and its rumored specs. Today we get a more detailed look at the device through a slew of images, courtesy of HellomotoHK. It appears the leaks are consistent though, this is the device which leaked back in July. There are eight images for you to feast your eyes on in the gallery below, and even one teaser image which mentions a part of device's specifications. The front side of the device contains those front-facing speakers everyone love so much, one above and one below the screen. The device will also have a more narrow bezels than its predecessor as well as a new camera, Moto G2 will come with an 8-megapixel shooter, Moto G sported a 5-megapixel one. This device will also have a support for the MicroSD card so you'll be able to expand your memory without a problem. As you can see in the images, back covers will be swappable and will come in various color options. Battey won't be replaceable though.

Previously leaked specifications claim the device will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. This processor will most likely be the Snapdragon 400 again which they used in the original Moto G. Even though we're not that convinced Motorola will decide to use it again, it is definitely a possibility and leaks have been pointing towards it in the past. Anyone excited about this phone?
