This time of year, we all start thinking about those dreaded words for students and words of jubilation to parents everywhere – ‘back-to-school.’  It is time to buy school supplies that sometimes include a notebook or tablet…I’m not talking about the old paper and spiral kind, but the mobile type.  If you fall into that category, then E FUN has some great news for tablet buyers as they have just released their new Nextbook 8 in three limited edition colors for back-to-school – red, blue and silver.  This 7.85-inch tablet is now available in Wal-Mart stores and at for only $79.99 – there is also a black version available for $99.99.  Jason Liszewski, managing director and VP of sales for E FUN said:

“We are thrilled to offer students our latest Android tablet in their choice of three stylish colors for back to school.  With the latest Android operating system, the Google Play store, and leading content from partners, the Nextbook 8 limited edition tablets provide a great out of box experience for customers.  We are proud to continue leading the way in quality, value-priced consumer electronics for users of all ages.”

If you need a tablet for your children – or even yourself – it is hard to beat the value in the Nextbook 8 limited edition tablets.  You get a 7.85-inch HD color touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 768.  It sports a Rockchip RK3188 quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.6GHz and packs in 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, however, you can add an additional 64GB of storage via a microSD card slot.  There is  2MP Main camera and a 0.3MP Front-Facing camera (FFC) – not good for video chatting, but you may be able to pull off a selfie for social media purposes.  A Rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery (no size given) powers the Notebook 8.  It features dual webcams and a microphone, a built-in G sensor, a microHDMI port to send 1080p HD video to an HDTV or computer.  It has built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat – which is almost unheard of at this price.

The Nextbook 8 tablets are optimized and preloaded with Google Play as well Gmail, the Chrome browser, Google Talk, Google+, Google Maps, YouTube and Google Drive.  For reading books, they have preloaded Barnes and Noble Nook for Android.  You can download other apps from the Play Store as well.  For more information, check out their website HERE.  Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know what you think of the Nextbook 8 limited edition – it seems to pack a lot of muscle at a very reasonable price…as always, we would love to hear from you.
