Google I/O Attendees May Soon Be Getting Their Moto 360 Smartwatches

Google I/O was just a short time ago, about a month and a half, and there are tons of fond memories of being back at Moscone West for the annual Google developer conference. As we all learned the morning of the keynote speech, Google was prepared to send out a Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch to anyone that attended, but unlike the G Watch or Gear Live that you were allowed to walk away from the conference with holding either one in your hands, the Moto 360 was promised to be shipped out around the time of the launch of that device. Many had speculated that we were going to see the 360 potentially in the month of July or August, surely because Motorola had been saying it would come during the summer.

Well after having gone through all of July and now half of August, it's looking likely that the launch date is probably somewhere in September, perhaps soon after the event that Motorola is holding during September 4th at IFA in Berlin. This morning Google began sending out emails to the attendees of the conference to register for their Moto 360 smartwatch, giving them a deadline to respond with registration of their shipping address. That deadline is the day after the Motorola announcement that is expected to hold the unveiling of the Moto 360 as well as the new Moto X and new Moto G, which is midnight PST on September 5th. We're just guessing like probably many of the other attendees, but we'd wager that September 5th may be the day of the actual launch of the Moto 360 smarwatch.

If that's the case, then that could also be the day they begin to ship out the watches to the attendees who could possibly receive them days later. Google mentions in the email that the quicker people respond with a registration for their ship address the quicker they can get them shipped out as soon as they're available, naturally I registered before I wrote this. It would appear that the Moto 360 launch is upon us, so fairly soon we could be learning of the prices and the release date. Soon of course is most likely still a couple of weeks away. Are you getting excited?
