In this world of living on the run, we do not always have the time to sit at a PC or grab our notebook or even our tablet – many times our smartphone is all we have with us. More and more we are starting to rely on a mobile banking app, especially to check our balances and to transfer funds. These mobile apps are being improved and upgraded all of the time. There has been an important update to the TD Canada Trust app in the Google Play Store – there is also an iOS update, but we mention it only in our quest to be thorough reporters – that is very handy if you are a customer of TD Canada Trust and with it you even transfer funds between bank accounts that you may have in the U.S. With the updated app, when you transfer dollars you get an up-to-the minute foreign exchange rate – you will need Android 4.0.3 to enjoy the full benefits of this update.
The TD mobile app provides quick and easy access to all of your Canada TD accounts – checking, savings, credit and investments – anytime, anywhere. You can check your account balances, move money (CAD and USD), pay bills, locate a branch or an ATM, monitor your investments, place trades and even make contactless purchases in the stores. The app also has helpful information and places convenient tools at your disposal.
Under the TD Waterhouse Monitor, you can closely follow your investments by checking account balances, list orders, holdings and activity. You can view and manage your watchlists and get real-time quotes for stocks, ETFs and mutual funds – you can even trade stocks and exchange traded funds. You can also use the TD Mobile Payment feature to make quick and easy, small, everyday purchases up to $50 ($100 at some merchants) simply by tapping your smartphone via NFC – requires a NFC SIM card and active account with Bell, Rogers or TELUS with data access. The currently supported NFC capable phones are: Samsung Galaxy S5 – Galaxy S4 – Galaxy S3 – Galaxy Note 3 – Galaxy Note 2 – and HTC One M7.
