So far only Sprint and T-Mobile have announced dates for their launch of the LG G3. T-Mobile is launching on July 16th and Sprint on July 18th. Verizon and AT&T haven't given us any type of date just yet. Yesterday, the AT&T model appeared in a handful of shots for TechnoBuffalo, and today, the Sprint variant has appeared for EyeOnMobility's website. And we've got some pictures down below of the Sprint LG G3. As we saw yesterday, there is no Sprint branding at all on their version of the LG G3. And from what we can see on the box there's no branding there either. Which is rather interesting, but not the first time Sprint has done this.
It's also now confirmed that the Sprint model will be the 3GB of RAM model. You may recall that LG announced two models. One has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Well so far it looks like all the carriers here in the US are picking up the 3GB of RAM model, which is nice for those looking for extra RAM for multi-tasking.
Sprint will be selling their LG G3 for $600 outright, or $0 down and $25/month for 24 months. Which is about the same pricing as what T-Mobile is doing. The specs of the LG G3 include a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot support up to 128GB, 13MP camera with Laser AutoFocus, 2.1MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 3000mAh battery powering it all. The battery is removable so you can slap on an extended battery if needed.
How many of our Sprint users out there are anxious to get their hands on the LG G3 when it launches in a couple of weeks? Let us know in the comments below.
