Samsung Announces Design Competition for Galaxy Tab S Accessories

Samsung has quite a few tablets out there right now. But the Galaxy Tab S is their new flagship. The Galaxy Tab S is their Super AMOLED display tablets that were launched last month in New York City. They have a 8.4 and a 10.5 inch variant of the Galaxy Tab S. They are quite good tablets, and we're working on banging out reviews of them right now. There are already quite a few accessories available for the Galaxy Tab S, and Samsung is starting a new competition for a few more to join the lineup.

This morning, Samsung announced a new contest for designers to design their own accessories for the Galaxy Tab S. Samsung is calling it the "ITS FASHION, ITS ACCESSORIES, and ITS JEWELRY" competition. Which is quite the name for a competition, especially with all the caps in there. According to Samsung, here's how the competition is going to work out:

"Ten finalists will be selected from the ITS FASHION, ITS ACCESSORIES and ITS JEWELRY competition fields to present two prototype proposals to protect and carry the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S. From these prototypes, 10 will be chosen to be exhibited during the final round on July 11 and July 12.The conceptual designs and sketches were drawn using a Samsung Note tablet and S Pen. There were no limitations around what the final prototype could be - a cover, a case, a bag or anything else that the finalists' creativity would inspire."

It sounds like a pretty cool competition and one that I'd love to see the ten finalists of. The final round is taking place tomorrow and Saturday, so we should hear more soon about the winners. How many of you entered into this design competition with Samsung for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5? Let us know in the comments down below.
