On the search for a new Android tablet? Dell has two new devices ready for you that are priced to sell at under $200 a piece for either one. Both tablets have different screen sizes, so whether you’re looking for something more traditional in the smaller screen tablet range or something just a tad bit bigger, both the Dell Venue 7 or Dell Venue 8 should be able to suit your needs. Both devices reportedly house Intel’s new 64-bit processor inside, the latest dual-core Intel Atom CPUs/Merrifield SoC. Both devices feature an HD display and 16GB of internal memory for storage space, although the Venue 7 is an IPS display with 1280 x 800 HD resolution and the Venue 8 is an IPS display with 1920 x 1200 FHD resolution, so there should be a somewhat noticeable difference.

Both are obviously sporting Intel HD graphics, and both have the same amount of RAM at 1GB. Dell promises high quality audio performance in both tablets as they both feature MaXXAudio Mobile by Waves for an “amped up” sound experience as Dell puts it. The Venue 7 and the Venue 8 are both running Android 4.4 Kit Kat, so there’s no worry about being stuck on an older version of the Android software. Not for a little while anyways, that is until Google launches Android L which is expected to be this fall. Both tablets are less than 9mm thick, 8.95mm to be exact, which makes them pretty thin and fairly lightweight.

Interestingly enough, the Venue 7 tablet carries a 5MP rear facing camera but the Venue 8 tablet doesn’t have a rear facing camera at all. Both feature WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac so the wireless connection standard is up to date, and Bluetooth 4.0 LE is present on both devices as well. You can also find either tablet in a black or a red color just in case you wanted a little bit of choice there too. When it comes to finding a budget tablet that you can pick up for a relatively low cost, Dell’s Venue 7 and 8 tablets should definitely be considered as you can pick up the 7 for $159.99 and the 8 for $179.99 for the 16GB models. Dell also has a 32GB option available of  the Venue 8 if you wanted a little more storage for a regular retail cost of $199.99. Those are great prices for what you’re getting especially compared to other tablets in the same price range. Both can be picked up on Dell’s US website, but both are also available on Amazon for less than retail and with one day shipping as an option.
