gear fitThe Samsung Galaxy S5 was announced alongside the Gear Fit back at Mobile World Congress in February. I just recently reviewed the Samsung Gear Fit last weekend, and I absolutely loved the thing. It was perfect for what it was designed to do. Because the display is more rectangle than square, using apps on it would be a pain. Which is why it's a fitness tracker. It basically only tells you the time, and the amount of steps taken. It does tie into S Health which is pretty neat as well. The Gear Fit is going for about $199 here in the US, and £149 over in the UK. However, Vodafone is offering a free Gear Fit with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S5. Which is a pretty good deal I think. It'd definitely get me to buy a Galaxy S5.
For those that need a refresher, the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch 1920x1080 Super AMOLED Display (one that was named the "best display ever tested" by DisplayMate), along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It also has a 16MP camera on the back with a 2MP front-facing camera. Additionally we're looking at a 2800mAh battery inside and it's running on Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of Touchwiz.
The deal for the free Gear Fit is only for online purchases and works with any 3G or 4G price plan from Vodafone. The deal is live now and will run from now until June 26th. So if you're looking to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S5, now's the time to do so. Even if you don't want the Gear Fit, you can always sell it and get some more money back. How many of you in the UK are tempted to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S5 now thanks to this deal from Vodafone. Be sure to let us know in the comments down below.
