UK 16GB Nexus 5 Drops Down £50 To £249.99 At Carphone Warehouse

New phone shoppers in the UK might want to take a look towards Carphone Warehouse as they have apparently dropped the price of the Nexus 5 from its original cost down to £249.95. Normally the Nexus 5 costs £299.95 so this a nice £50 price cut. The best part is this price isn't going away, it's a permanent savings. So if you want to pick it up next week or a couple of weeks from now you there's no stopping you. It's important to note that this is for the 16GB Nexus 5, in all three colors and not just the red, and off contract and with no SIM card. The 32GB Nexus 5 seems to still be at regular price, but if you don't need that much space you have nothing to worry about.

With its formidable IPS 5-inch 1080p screen with 445 ppi, 8MP camera, snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM any savings on the Nexus 5 is a great deal. It was already an awesome phone for the original cost but now grabbing the 16GB model is almost a no brainer if you have the extra cash and are in need of a new device or simply want an extra one. The Nexus 5 will be running Android 4.4.2 out of the box but now that the official update for Android 4.4.3 has been pushed out to all supported Nexus devices, you'll likely get the update soon after powering on the device if you get it from this deal at Carphone Warehouse.

Without a doubt the Nexus 5 was one of if not the best Nexus device from Google to date, so if you have been waiting to grab one now is just as good of a time as any. We wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to wait and see what comes out this fall though if anything. Our own Tom Dawson already owns the 16GB Black Nexus 5 and even he was tempted to sell his and purchase the red one as this lower cost. Is anyone considering taking advantage of this deal or do you already have a Nexus 5? Perhaps you're just simply waiting on another device that has already been announced and are waiting for it to release?
