Aries, Leo and Pegasus Are Rumored to be Codenames for Sony's Next Line of Xperia Devices

Sony has been known for releasing a pair of flagship devices for a long time now and for 2014, we've already seen the Xperia Z2 launch so it'd stand to reason that the Xperia Z3 would be next, but it looks like Sony isn't working on one or two devices, but three. Codenames for upcoming devices have appeared throughout Chinese social media and some details to go along with them. Aries, Leo and Pegasus are apparently codenames for upcoming Xperia devices from Sony.

The Leo is apparently going to become the Xperia Z3, with the Aries being the Xperia Z3 Compact. Meanwhile, the Pegasus is an unknown device, but we're sure it'll become a high-end device, after all why would it be grouped with the other two devices? Other than that, there doesn't appear to be much information about the three devices however, we've heard a little about a rumored Xperia Z3. According to previous rumors and leaks, the Xperia Z3 is to break away from the glass tradition with that all previous Xperia Z devices have used to feature an aluminum frame. Still, there's not much to go on there, but we're sure Sony is working on something.

While we're starting to hear words about the Xperia Z3 and other Xperia devices, the Xperia Z2 has yet to hit the US, despite the fact that it's been rumored to land on Verizon's network for some time now. Those in Europe however, can take a look at our review to see if it's the Xperia Z device for you. It's a shame that Sony hasn't broken into the States like Samsung and HTC, but they do have their focus on other markets like their home nation of Japan and Europe.
